It was under the guidance of Christian Gulluni at Studio Musika that David began his musical career as assistant sound engineer. He quickly found himself working for such renowned artists as Lio, Sacha Distel, Jeanne Mas, Eddy Louis, Francois Feldman, Dany Brillant, Smaïn, Sheila and Nilda Fernandez…
With the diehard encouragement of Christophe Izard, he produced his fifirst solo recording: the techno remix of Casimir the dinosaur (a very famous French children’s character, comparable to Big Bird!) which allowed him to sign on with Polygram Publishing. It was with Polygram that he composed the theme song and score for the wildly successful French TV series, Extrême Limite (The Challengers), broadcast on the TV primetime network channel, TF1, and sold in over 180 countries around the world.
In 1995, he created Kia Productions, with whom he mostly produced top-of-the-line dance music: in particular, the remix of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Games, and Ma Chérie (French Allure), licensed by ULM.
Beginning in 2001, David focused on music for the small screen and composed original musical scores for successful TV series such as L’Odyssée (The Odyssey), Gadget et les Gadgetinis (Gadget and the Gadgetinis), Martin Mystère (Martin Mystery), Team Galaxy, Gormiti, Monster Buster Club, Pig City. In 2010, he teamed up with Score Factory and composed the music for the series Alvinnn & the Chipmunks (4 seasons and counting!), The Legendaries, Heidi 3D (seasons 1 & 2), Sherlock Yack – Zoo Detective, Xiaolin Chronicles, Scary Larry and Fish’n Chips.
In 2019, he continued composing for the series Alvinnn & the Chipmunks as well as Heidi 3D in collaboration with his friend and composer, Romain Allender. Together, they created October8music, a music production company devoted to original music for the screen (all sizes!), record production and helping young artists launch their careers.
